Independent, reliable solar power for your home
An on-grid solar system, also known as a grid-tied solar power system, is a photovoltaic (PV) setup that is directly connected to the public electricity grid. It enables the generation of electricity from solar energy while maintaining a connection to the utility network, allowing seamless interaction between solar power and grid supply.
On-grid Solar: Connected to the grid, no batteries required, helps reduce electricity bills and ensures clean, renewable energy usage.
Under the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (Government of India, 2024-25), households installing on-grid rooftop solar systems are eligible for central financial assistance (subsidy).
| System Capacity | Subsidy amount Offered Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana |
|---|---|
| 1 kW | ₹30,000 |
| 2 kWp | ₹60,000 |
| Above 3kW | Maximum subsidy ₹78,000 |
*Subsidy is capped at ₹78,000 for on-grid rooftop solar systems 3 kWp or higher.
